NOTE: About the Last Two SA Meetings of the Semester

The Student Assembly will be holding two meetings this week to complete the unfinished business still on this semester’s agenda. It will be holding its regular meeting this Thursday, at 4:45 in the Memorial Room of Willard Straight Hall as well as a special meeting on Friday, December 4th at 4:00pm in Warren Hall room 131.

During the Thursday meeting, the final Appropriations Committee Recommendation will be introduced, along with the committees recommendation for the final Student Activity Fee. There will be time allotted for a short discussion and question period surrounding the Committee’s recommendations. The most pressing order of business for this meeting, though, will be the discussion and adoption of the 2010 Elections Rules. Anybody interested in running for the Student Assembly next semester is encouraged to attend.

During the Friday meeting the central order of business on the agenda will be the debate and adoption of the final Student Activity Fee for the 2010 through 2012 school years.

Both these meetings offer the opportunity for any final appeals surrounding a specific group’s allocation to the Student Assembly. If an organization believes the amount recommended by the Appropriations Committee, and confirmed by the Assembly, was not the correct allocation for their organization they can attend one or both of these meetings to request an appeal.
